News PHOTO CALL: Demolition Comes to Playwrights Horizons With a Party July 2 The former home of Playwrights Horizons on West 42nd Street is set for demolition this summer, in prepartation for the birth of a new Playwrights Horizons Mainstage and Studio Theaters, rehearsal spaces and administrative offices some 15 months later on the same site. To celebrate the old space (and the new), founding artistic director Bob Moss (right) gathered together some old time Playwrights Horizons supporters and performers at a party July 2. With Moss is Christopher Durang, whose Betty's Summer Vacation was a big hit for the company in spring, 1999.
