Fred Ebb and Liza Minnelli (center) collected a special Christmas gift from Bloomingdales - $500,000 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS - Dec. 13. Lyricist-director Ebb directed Minnelli's current Broadway return, Minnelli On Minnelli. Minnelli On Minnelli is a celebration of tunes linked to her film-director father, the late Vincente Minnelli. The song-and-dance revue, with Minnelli backed up a six-man chorus, is scheduled for 24 performances at Broadway's Palace Theatre and runs to Jan. 2, 2000.
