Written by Lin-Manuel Miranda (who also stars) and Quiara Alegría Hudes, the musical began previews Feb. 14 and will officially open March 9.
Thomas Kail directs and Andy Blankenbuehler choreographs the "quintessential New York musical about a vibrant and tight-knit community at the top of the island of Manhattan. The music pulses with the hopes and dreams of three generations as they struggle to forge an identity in a neighborhood on the brink of transition," according to show notes.
Miranda is joined in the In the Heights company by Andréa Burns, Janet Dacal, Robin De Jesús, Carlos Gomez, Mandy Gonzalez, Christopher Jackson, Priscilla Lopez, Olga Merediz, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Karen Olivo and Seth Stewart.
