Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth (Wicked and Promises, Promises) was the recipient of the Vanguard Award for her work to increase the visibility of LGBT individuals in the media. Chenoweth's Promises, Promises co-star Sean Hayes presented the honor.
Dolly Parton was also on hand to present the Stephen F. Kolzak Award to television executive Robert Greenblatt. The honor is presented to "an openly lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting equality for the LGBT community."
