Leslie Kritzer's Beautiful Disaster Premieres at Joe's Pub

"The year is 1995, and Jersey girl Leslie Kritzer is a senior at Livingston High School," according to press notes. "After the crushing blow of not landing the lead in her school's musical, and the dramatic events of her parents' telenovela-like divorce, Leslie abandons her good girl persona and turns from Kritzer to Hyde, unleashing her teenage Jew-rican vengeance upon the town. Drugs! Kleptomania! Pre-marital sex! Playing 30 different characters in a comic tour de force, Beautiful Disaster explores what happens when the shit hits the fan and rebellion meets reality."

A graduate of the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, Kritzer has appeared on Broadway in Hairspray, as well as the original casts of Legally Blonde, A Catered Affair and, most recently, Sondheim on Sondheim.

Performances are scheduled for May 1-3 at 9:30 PM.

Joe's Pub is located within the Public Theater at 425 Lafayette Street. Tickets, priced at $30, are available by visiting www.joespub.com.
