Connick, Jr. will make his Broadway acting debut (his musical Thou Shalt Not played in 2001-02 season at the Plymouth) as the good-looking new foreman of a pajama factory who falls hard for the head of the worker’s union on the eve of a strike. The original production, co-directed by George Abbott and Jerome Robbins and choreographed by Bob Fosse, opened in 1954.
At left, revival choreographer-director Kathleen Marshall and composer-lyricist Richard Adler, as well as cast members Megan Lawrence, Peter Benson and Joyce Chittick are seen during the rehearsal. Below, Connick, Jr., O'Hara and McKean take a break to meet the press at the first day of rehearsal for The Pajama Game at the 42nd St. Studios in New York City.
