Memphis begins previews at the Shubert Theatre Sept. 23 with a scheduled Oct. 19 opening.
Christopher Ashley (Xanadu) directs the musical that features book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and a score and lyrics by Bon Jovi's David Bryan (Toxic Avenger).
Chad Kimball (Into the Woods, Lennon, The Civil War, My Life with Albertine) and Montego Glover lead the cast, reprising the roles they originated in La Jolla and Seattle.
Also featured are J. Bernard Calloway (The Good Negro, "The Taking of Pelham 123") as Delray, James Monroe Iglehart (Spelling Bee) as Bobby, Cass Morgan (Mary Poppins, Ring of Fire) as Gladys Calhoun, Derrick Baskin (The Little Mermaid as Gator and Michael McGrath (Spamalot, Is He Dead?) as Mr. Simmons.
