On Feb. 16 the Broadway revival of Stephen Schwartz's Godspell welcomed "Late Show with David Letterman" musical director Paul Shaffer, who was conductor of the original Broadway production of Godspell, in a special cameo appearance.

He played the role of "Lazarus" in Act I, and then came onstage to play the Entr'acte and sing the cast into the top of Act II.

Following the performance, Shaffer took part in a talkback with the audience, hosted by Julie James of Sirius XM Radio's "On Broadway" channel.

Directed by Daniel Goldstein and choreographed by Tony Award nominee Christopher Gattelli, Godspell stars Hunter Parrish as Jesus and Wallace Smith as Judas, and co-stars Uzo Aduba, Nick Blaemire, Celisse Henderson, Morgan James, Telly Leung, Lindsay Mendez, George Salazar and Anna Maria Perez de Tagle.

Godspell plays Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre (1633 Broadway at 50th St.). For more information visit
