For her performance as Margaret Johnson in the Adam Guettel-Craig Lucas musical, Clark received Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards. Now comes word that Sardi's Restaurant will honor the celebrated actress with her own caricature.
The private unveiling at the famed restaurant will be held Wednesday, Aug. 24 at 5:30 PM. The event will feature appearances by Clark, co-stars Kelli O'Hara, Matthew Morrison, Michael Berresse, Sarah Uriarte Berry and Patti Cohenour and composer Guettel, among others.
Victoria Clark received a 2005 Tony Award for her performance in The Light in the Piazza. Her other Broadway credits include Cabaret, Urinetown, Titanic, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Guys and Dolls and A Grand Night for Singing. Among Clark's screen credits are "Cradle Will Rock," "Law & Order," "Law & Order: SVU" and "Sweeney Todd in Concert." As a director, she recently helmed the 92nd Street Y's "Lyrics & Lyricists" series Serenade in Blue: The Mack Gordon Song Calvacade.
