News Powers, Saldivar, Restrepo, Hurder and More to Join Max and Laura for Grease Revival Robyn Hurder, Jenny Powers, Matthew Saldivar, Kirsten Wyatt, Lindsay Mendez and José Restrepo will be part of the cast of the upcoming Broadway revival of Grease, which will co-star reality TV winners Max Crumm as Danny Zuko and Laura Osnes as Sandy Dumbrowski.

Robyn Hurder will play Marty and Jenny Powers will play Rizzo in the Grease revival.

Previews for the musical — directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall — will begin July 24 and open Aug. 19 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.

Crumm and Osnes will be joined onstage by Hurder as Marty, Powers as Rizzo, Saldivar as Kenickie, Wyatt as Frenchie, Mendez as Jan, Restrepo as Sonny and Broadway newcomer Daniel Everidge as Roger, according to a video announcement on the official website for "Grease: You're the One That I Want," the TV show that cast Crumm and Osnes in the lead roles.

Casting for the production is still underway.

Robyn Hurder is currently playing Mona in the long-running revival of Chicago. Her other Broadway credits include The Wedding Singer and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and she was also seen in the tours of Spamalot and Starlight Express.

Jenny Powers made her Broadway debut as Meg in Little Women. She appeared in the Kennedy Center and Goodman productions of Stephen Sondheim's Bounce, and her other theatrical credits include A Little Night Music, A Long Gay Book, Everything's Ducky and 1776. Matthew Saldivar made his Broadway bow in The Wedding Singer creating the role of Sammy. He has also performed for the Public Theater, LAByrinth Theater Company, Classic Stage Company, Drama Dept., WPA, the Guthrie, Long Wharf, NY Stage and Film, Theatre for a New Audience, Blue Light Theater, the Atlantic Theater, NY Theatre Workshop, NY Shakespeare Festival and the 52nd Street Project.

Kirsten Wyatt played Anna and Alison in the short-lived musical High Fidelity, and she was also seen on Broadway in Urinetown and You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Her other theatrical credits include The Pajama Game, The Boy Friend, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Peter Pan and Dames at Sea.

Lindsay Mendez played Jan in the Fulton Theatre's production of Grease. She was seen at Jazz at Lincoln Center in the concert Go the Distance . . . The Lyrics of David Zippel, and her other theatrical credits include Princesses, Footloose, Lucky Stiff, Call Me Madam and Gidget.

José Restrepo was seen in the Off-Broadway production of Fame on 42nd Street. He also appeared in the national tour of Saturday Night Fever, and his regional credits include productions of Side Show and A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Paul Nicholas and David Ian Associates, Nederlander Presentations and Phoenix Productions will produce the Broadway run of Grease. The capitalization is $10 million.

The new Broadway production will feature the Jim Jacobs-Warren Casey songs made famous by the original musical — including "Summer Nights," "Greased Lightning" and "We Go Together" — as well as the four additional film songs: "Grease is the Word," "You're the One That I Want," "Hopelessly Devoted to You" and "Sandy" interpolated into the score.

Grease will officially open at the Brooks Atkinson Aug. 19. The design team includes scenic design by Derek McLane, costume design by Martin Pakledinaz and lighting design by Kenneth Posner.
