PlayBlog Priscilla Queen of the Desert's Cast Members Sound Off on Marriage Equality (Video) Cast members from Broadway's Priscilla Queen of the Desert were on their iPhones, awaiting the news, backstage at the Palace Theatre during the Friday-night performance when same-sex marriage was legalized in New York State. Here, NBC's "In the Wings" goes backstage at the Palace and talks to members of the cast about how exciting it was to share the positive outcome with the audience after the June 24 performance.

Nick Adams, who stars in the musical as Adam/Felicia, was honored to break the news to the audience and says that when the bill was passed it was "a dream come true." The actor supports equal rights and recently congratulated New York State via his Twitter account.

"Congratulations to all the couples getting married in NY today!" Adams tweeted July 24, the day same-sex marriages would be able to commence. "Love is all we need!"

Priscilla stars 2011 Tony Award nominee Tony Sheldon (Bernadette), Will Swenson (Tick/Mitzi) and Adams (Adam/Felicia) as "the trio of friends on a heart-warming, uplifting adventure. [They] hop aboard a battered old bus searching for love and friendship in the middle of the Australian outback and end up finding more than they could ever have dreamed."
