Project Shaw, in residence at The Players Club, has endeavored to present every sketch, full-length and one-act play composed by the late prolific playwright. The 2007 component recently wrapped with Pygmalion, starring Matt Cavenaugh, Hannah Cabell, Daniel Jenkins, Beth Fowler, Brian Murray and Marian Seldes. For 2008, Project Shaw has lined up Geneva (Jan. 21), Too Good to Be True (Feb. 11), Good King Charles Days (Mar. 17), Farfetched Fables (April 21), The Devil's Disciple (May 19), Great Catherine with Annajanska, The Wild Grand Duchess (June 23), Major Barbara (July 21), Caesar and Cleopatra (Sept. 22), The Shewing-Up of Blanco Posnet (Oct. 20), Jitta's Atonement (Nov. 17) and Saint Joan (Dec. 22).
The staged Shavian readings take place one Monday per month at 7 PM, directed and produced by Project Shaw's David Staller. Previous participants in the star-studded readings include Blair Brown, Tyne Daly, Michael Cerveris, Malcolm Gets, Veanne Cox, Marc Kudisch, Paxton Whitehead, Tovah Feldshuh, George S. Irving, Rebecca Luker, Nancy Anderson, Daniel Reichard, Barrett Foa, David Garrison, Timothy Jerome, Michele Pawk and Fritz Weaver.
