Queen Esther, a self-styled diva who has performed at the Worth Street Theatre and the New York Fringe Festival, will bring her one-person show, Queen Esther: Unemployed Superstar, to Joe's Pub on April 27, at 8:30 PM. Jeff Cohen, of Worth Street, directs.

Esther brought her sinuous singing style to the Worth Street Theatre's modern adaptation of Woyzeck, entitled Whoa-Jack!.

Past performers at Joe's Pub include Audra McDonald, Dawn Upshaw, Faith Prince, Adolph Green and Betty Comden, Anne Bogart, Ann Magnuson, Aimie Mann, Alice Ripley, Karen Mason, Randy Graff and John Pizzarelli.
