Performances begin June 15 at The 14th Street Y, with Mark Pinter, Kit Paquin, Timothy Altmeyer, Annette Hunt and Katherine Dowling.

Directed by Amy Feinberg, the play tells the tale of "the explosive love triangle between 'the girl on the red velvet swing,' Evelyn Nesbit; the famous New York architect Stanford White; and Harry K. Thaw of Pittsburgh" that led to what papers at the time dubbed "the crime of the century" and "the trial of the century."

In 1906, Pittsburgh millionaire Thaw murdered architect-designer White during a performance at the rooftop theatre at the White-designed Madison Square Garden (then located in Madison Square). Nesbit, Thaw's wife and a former showgirl who had been White's teen-age lover, was present. The murder shocked spectators and showfolk alike, causing a panic at the show.

Costumes are by Chris Lione, sets by Mark Symczak, sound by Tim Kramer and lighting by Randy Glickman.

Performances of the Equity run of My Sweetheart's the Man in the Moon continue to July 10, playing Wednesday-Saturday at 8 PM with matinees Wednesday & Sunday at 3 PM.
