Lincoln Center Theater celebrated the official opening of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe’s My Fair Lady April 19, after beginning previews March 15 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater.
The production, directed by Tony winner Bartlett Sher, stars Lauren Ambrose (Awake and Sing!) in her Broadway musical debut and Harry Hadden-Paton in his Broadway debut, as Eliza Doolittle and Henry Higgins, respectively. Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz stars as Alfred P. Doolittle with Tony-winning stage and screen veteran Diana Rigg as Mrs. Higgins, Jordan Donica as Freddy Eynsford-Hill, Linda Mugleston as Mrs. Pearce, and Allan Corduner as Colonel Pickering.
Rounding out the cast are Manu Narayan as Zoltan Karpathy, and ensemble members Cameron Adams, Shereen Ahmed, Kerstin Anderson, Heather Botts, John Treacy Egan, Rebecca Eichenberger, SuEllen Estey, Christopher Faison, Steven Trumon Gray, Adam Grupper, Michael Halling, Joe Hart, Sasha Hutchings, Kate Marilley, Liz McCartney, Justin Lee Miller, Rommel Pierre O’Choa, Keven Quillon, JoAnna Rhinehart, Tony Roach, Lance Roberts, Blair Ross, Christine Cornish Smith, Paul Slade Smith, Matt Wall, Michael Williams, Minami Yusui, and Lee Zarrett.
The production features choreography by Christopher Gattelli, original musical arrangements by Robert Russell Bennett and Phil Lang, dance arrangements by Trude Rittman, musical direction by Ted Sperling, scenic design by Michael Yeargan, costume design by Catherine Zuber, lighting design by Donald Holder, sound design by Marc Salzberg, hair and wig design by Tom Watson, and casting by Telsey + Company.
