The Nov. 11 (at 8 PM) and 12 (at 5 and 8 PM) concerts boast original Goblin stars Terri Klausner and Ann Morrison. Evan Yionoulis directs.

Adapted by Pen and Harmon from the classic Christina Rossetti poem, Goblin Market features music by Pen. Billed as a "chamber musical," the work follows "two Victorian sisters on an enticing, sensual, and unforgettable series of visits with goblins in the wood, who tempt them with 'forbidden fruit' and change their lives forever," according to an announcement.

Joining original cast members Klausner (Evita, Sophisticated Ladies) and Morrison (Merrily We Roll Along, Lovemusik) is original musical director Lawrence Yurman.

The acclaimed, original production (directed by the late Andre Ernotte) of Goblin Market was the first show to transfer commercially from a run at the Vineyard Theatre (it moved to Circle in the Square). The original cast recording is available from Jay Records.

The concerts kick off a series of special readings from the Off-Broadway company's past. Future Vineyard anniversary readings will include Nicky Silver's Raised in Captivity (in December), featuring original company members Patricia Clarkson and Peter Frechette, and a third work yet to be announced. The new Vineyard season began Oct. 30 with Tony Award winner Elizabeth Franz in the Off-Broadway premiere of Julia Cho's Piano Teacher. The year will continue with the new musical The Slug Bearers of Kayroll Island (or the Friends of Dr. Rushower) by Ben Katchor and Mark Mulcahy as well as a third mainstage production to be announced. Other projects (workshops or readings) include Adam Rapp's The Metal Children, Tarell Alvin McCraney's Wig Out!, the new Mariana Elder-Chris Miller-Nathan Tysen musical The Burnt Part Boys and a currently untitled work by playwright/ composer Polly Pen.
