Written by Margaret Engel and Allison Engel, Red Hot Patriot: The Kick-Ass Wit of Molly Ivins stars film and stage actress Turner as the fiery columnist and is directed by award-winning director David Esbjornson. According to PTC, "In Red Hot Patriot: The Kick-Ass Wit of Molly Ivins, Kathleen Turner portrays the unsinkable Molly Ivins, the famously brassy newspaper columnist and best-selling author. A true Texas original, Ivins was a sharp-tongued wit who skewered the political establishment and the 'good ol' boys' with her unforgettable humor and wisdom. Written by twin sisters, themselves longtime journalists, the play celebrates Ivins' courage and tenacity — even when it seemed like a complacent America wasn't listening."

Performances for the extension week include shows on April 20 at 6:30 PM, April 21 at 1 PM and 7 PM, April 22-23 at 8 PM, April 24 at 2 PM and 8 PM and April 25 at 1 PM.

Tickets are $25-69, with discounts for students, seniors and groups. Tickets are available by calling the PTC Box Office at (215) 985-0420 or visiting PhiladelphiaTheatreCompany.org.
