News Ring Them Bells: Rooms Stars to Head to NASDAQ April 29 Leslie Kritzer and Doug Kreeger, who co-star in the new Off-Broadway musical Rooms: a rock romance, will preside over the closing bell at NASDAQ MarketSite April 29.

The two actors will ring the closing bell at 4 PM ET. The ceremony is broadcast live on the NASDAQ electronic billboard in Times Square. The new musical, directed by Scott Schwartz, plays New World Stages. Rooms was recently nominated for three 2009 Outer Critics Circle Awards, including Outstanding Off-Broadway Musical.

Rooms features music and lyrics by Paul Scott Goodman and a book by Goodman and Miriam Gordon. The musical, according to press notes, "begins in 1970s Glasgow where Monica, an ambitious singer/songwriter meets Ian, a reclusive rocker. The two quickly become entangled creatively and romantically. Their music takes them first to London and ultimately to New York City, where they discover the vibrant new music scene and create an intimate partnership, their love deepening while their personalities drive them apart. A five-piece rock band accompanies these two characters as they search for the balance between ambition and happiness."

The production features scenic design by Adam Koch, costume design by Alejo Vietti, lighting design by Herrick Goldman, sound design by Jonathan Weston with musical supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Jesse Vargas. Matt Williams serves as choreographer.
