Hollywood film actor Barry Sullivan ("The Great Gatsby," "The Bold and the Beautiful," The Caine Mutiny Court Martial) had two children, Johnny and Jenny. He wanted them to grow up protecting one another from the world, but as their childhoods progress, it becomes clear that Johnny is "special" and unable to take care of himself, let alone his sibling. Sullivan culled the semi-autobiographical play from diaries her father Barry left behind when he died.

An actress, director and playwright, Sullivan has performed in The Baby Dance, Any Wednesday, Battle of Angels and Instant Foreplay, as well as directing the new actresses who come into L.A.'s The Vagina Monologues every three weeks.

Ritter, who plays The Brother, is best remembered for his starring role on TV's "Three's Company," but his career since has included "Sling Blade," "Noises Off," "Ally McBeal" and, in his Broadway debut, The Dinner Party. Kober, a series regular on "China Beach" and "Falcon Crest," plays The Father.

Tickets are $28-$38. The Court Theatre is located at 722 North La Cienega in West Hollywood. For reservations, call (805) 667-2900. — By Christine Ehren
