Four short stories by Roald Dahl, author of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" & "James and the Giant Peach," have been adapted for the stage by Dan Fields and will receive their world premiere at New York City's Blue Heron Arts Center, June 18-July 12. The evening, under the collective title of Roald Dahl's Tales of the Unexpected, comprises "The Landlady," "Mrs. Bixby and the Colonel's Coat," "Galloping Foxley," and "Edward the Conqueror." Although primarily known for his famed children's books, Dahl also published many of these adult-oriented short stories in magazines like The New Yorker, Esquire and Harper's.
