Rebecca Prichard's Yard Gal, which ran at London's Royal Court in the spring of 1998, will feature some familiar faces when the production comes to Off-Broadway's MCC Theater later this season. Previews will begin April 18 for an opening April 26 Production sources confirm that the London cast, Amelia Lowdell and Sharon Duncan-Brewster, will return to star in the MCC production.
Lowdell and Duncan-Brewster will feel right at home in New York, since the original London director on Yard Gal, Gemma Bodinetz, will be helming their Atlantic crossing.
Playwright Prichard won the 1999 London Critic's Circle Award as most promising playwright for Yard Gal when it played in London.
