The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) expects to mail ballots to its 100,000 members by Nov. 10 outlining the proposed commercial contract with commercial advertisers. SAG members would have three weeks to ratify the contract, with their mailed responses due back at the guild by Dec. 1.

The schedule for the ratification of the commercial contract may be moved up, but the three week response window is set.

“The mailing won’t happen until the end of next week,” said SAG spokesperson Greg Krizman. “We’re in the middle of preparing a cover letter and getting it OK’d today.”

Krizman said that informational meetings are scheduled in key cities like New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago so that members who want to talk about the contract or ask questions of negotiating committee members can do so.
