Misfit Productions will unveil the West Coat premiere of The All-Male Importance of Being Earnest at the Maryland Hotel theater space in downtown San Diego May 7 for a three-weekend run through May 22.
A hit last year at the New York International Fringe Festival and then Off-Broadway, the play is based on the Oscar Wilde classic but has been adapted by Hugh Hysell, a New York director-producer who has also updated the time period to present-day Chelsea and the Hamptons. The show is also being licensed in Houston and Toronto.
