Three-time Tony nominee Sandy Duncan will take part in the Actors Playground's reading series Aug. 19.

Duncan, who was last on Broadway in the hit revival of Chicago, will star in Edward Vilga's Blue; Alex Travis will take part in this reading as well. Also on the bill for the evening is Keith Reddin's Almost Blue, which will be directed by Karen Odyniec and be performed by Stephanie Michels, Joe Passaro, Jimmy Biberi and Kurt Everhart.

The acclaimed series, which includes cocktails at 7 PM and the reading at 7:30 PM, concludes on Monday, Aug. 26 with Don Cohen's Time is the Fire. Directed by Jamie Taylor, the Time cast includes Susan Burke, Julian Brightman, Caitlin Barton, Lori Gardner, Sandra Duque, Quincy Newton, Chris Gross, Michael Patterson, Fausto Lombardi, Laura Lee Cliff, Jim Jack, Lynn Loban and Jeff Bartels.

Sandy Duncan received Tony Award nominations for her performances in Canterbury Tales, The Boy Friend and Peter Pan. Her other Broadway credits include Love Is a Time of Day, My One and Only and Chicago. Also a star of television and film, Duncan was nominated for Emmy Awards for her performances in "Funny Face" and "Roots."
