Sarah Paulson and Fran Weissler to Be Honored at Miscast Gala | Playbill

News Sarah Paulson and Fran Weissler to Be Honored at Miscast Gala MCC Theater has announced that Golden Globe-nominated actress Sarah Paulson and Tony Award-winning producer Fran Weissler will be honored during the company's annual Miscast gala, which will take place in March 2015.

The benefit, which brings together theatre stars to perform songs from shows and roles in which they'd never be cast, will be held March 30 at The Hammerstein Ballroom.

Paulson, who appears on "American Horror Story," is known for her work in The Glass Menagerie, Collected Stories, Talley's Folly, Still Life, Colder Than Here and "12 Years a Slave."

Weissler is the Tony Award-winning producer of Chicago, Pippin, The Scottsboro Boys, La Cage aux Folles and more. Upcoming stage projects include The Heart of Robin Hood, The Band Wagon, Finding Neverland and Waitress.

"Honoring Sarah and Fran together is going to double our fun at Miscast. They're both incredibly talented, passionate and very funny women. Plus, they don’t play it safe, which is something we value at MCC. We're eager to pay tribute to that quality in both of them next March," MCC co-artistic director Bernard Telsey said in a statement.
