News Scott Zeiger to Helm New Theatrical Division of Cirque du Soleil Cirque du Soleil has announced its new division, Cirque du Soleil Theatrical, which will be led by Scott Zeiger, serving as president and managing director.

In his new position, Zeiger will develop unique theatrical opportunities for Cirque du Soleil. These opportunities will be created using the Cirque du Soleil signature style and aesthetic but will provide a different experience for audiences. 

A co-founding partner of BASE Entertainment, Zeiger's theatrical credits include Phantom – The Las Vegas Spectacular and Disney's The Lion King and Wicked, presented in Singapore. His experience also includes the Las Vegas production and world tour of Jersey Boys and the Las Vegas production of Rock of Ages.

"Scott's extensive experience in this important segment of the entertainment industry is a huge asset. We are thrilled that he has accepted the invitation to join our team," president and CEO of Cirque du Soleil Daniel Lamarre said in a statement. "His outstanding reputation and credibility in theatrical and live entertainment are based on his past successes with major entertainment companies such as Clear Channel, SFX and, of course, BASE Entertainment. Cirque du Soleil Theatrical will be a key player."

I have witnessed their incredible ability to create, produce and distribute the very highest quality live entertainment," Zeiger said a in a statement. "This new venture for Cirque is very exciting for me and I look forward to developing new theatrical productions and having access to the best creative talent in the world.
