Broadway on Sunset's second annual West Coast Musical Theatre Conference has been scheduled for Sept. 23 and 24 at the Los Angeles Theatre Center. The conference provides an opportunity for people who are involved in musical theatre to interact with successful Broadway and other industry professionals.

Confirmed participants include Julie Taymor, director of The Lion King; Rob Marshall, choreographer and director of Annie; Gregg Maday of Warner Bros.; Christopher Montan, president Walt Disney Music; and actor Jason Graae as master of ceremonies.

Among the topics to be discussed in panels and workshops are "Hollywood Studios in the Musical Theatre Marketplace," "Getting Your Musical Produced: The Director's Perspective" and "Libretto Q & A with the Libretto Doc."

Advance admission prices before Aug. 15 are: one day $35; two days $50. Admission after Aug. 15: one day $45.; two days $75.

Broadway on Sunset is a non-profit organization which has been operating for 19 years. It is presenting the Conference in association with the Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department, which operates the LATC. Last year's inaugural event included the participation of Frank Wildhorn, composer of Jekyll and Hyde, and "Seinfeld" star Jason Alexander.Los Angeles Theatre Center is located at 514 S.
