News Shear Madness Delays Vegas Opening Until December The comedy whodunit Shear Madness, which was scheduled to begin performances at Town Square Las Vegas in November, will now begin previews on Christmas Day, Dec. 25.

The change in date, according to a press statement, is due to "a series of construction delays on the custom theatre at Town Square Las Vegas." Opening night is now scheduled for Jan. 2, 2009, at 7 PM.

Shear Madness, according to press notes, "engages visitors and locals alike as armchair detectives to help solve the scissor-stabbing murder of a famed concert pianist who lives above the Shear Madness hairstyling salon. The show combines up-to-the-minute improvisational humor and a mixture of audience sleuthing to deliver a truly unique performance each night."

In a previous statement Shear Madness executive producer Terrence R. Williams said, "The show's unique concept is a perfect match for the unique setting that Town Square offers. We're very excited to bring Shear Madness to Las Vegas."

Show times in Vegas will be Tuesday-Sunday evenings at 7 PM with matinees Saturdays and Sundays at 3 PM.

Ticets, priced $42.95-$79.95, are currently available by calling (702) 949-6123 or by visiting www.ShearMadnessLV.com. *

To celebrate its arrival, Shear Madness is offering a Holiday Bailout Plan (on sale through Dec. 24), which includes two tickets, two drinks and a $25 gift card good towards drinks, merchandise or additional ticket purchases. The package is priced $99.95.
