On Oct. 24 Alan will return to Los Angeles' Show at Barre for two concerts. The 7:30 PM performance will feature special guests Shoshana Bean (Wicked; Hairspray) and long-time collaborator Jesse Vargas. Scott Alan wrote the book, music and lyrics for the musical Detour, which was seen in Los Angeles. His current theatre projects include Piece, which was featured at the 2003 Palo Alto TheatreWorks festival, the 2005 NAMT festival and the 2007 Festival of New Musicals at Village Theatre; and the song cycle The Warmth of the Womb.
