Though not usually of interest to theatre-goers, the annual Save the Children Gala this year will honor playwright Neil Simon and his frequent producer Manny Azenberg. The Gala will be held at The Waldorf-Astoria Ballroom (Park Avenue & 49th Street), on June 3. The gala is in celebration of Partners for Children, which recognizes partners in the entertainment and business worlds whose mutual trust and vision have lead them to the top. Other partner honorees include: Bill Cosby & his agent Norman Brokaw, along with Joan Ganz Cooney (co founder of the Children's Television Workshop) and Big Bird, Kermit the Frog, and Miss Piggy.
