News Simon Russell Beale, Tom Hiddleston to Star Opposite Rachel Weisz in Deep Blue Sea Film Olivier Award winners Simon Russell Beale and Tom Hiddleston will star opposite Rachel Weisz in an upcoming film version of Terrence Rattigan's play The Deep Blue Sea, according to deadline.com.

The film is set to begin production in November. Terence Davies was previously reported to direct. As previously reported, Academy and Olivier Award winner Weisz (A Streetcar Named Desire, "The Constant Gardener") will play a married British woman who leaves her husband (Beale) for a passionate affair with an ex-fighter pilot (Hiddleston) and later attempts suicide when the pilot leaves her.

Beale has received Olivier Awards for Uncle Vanya, Candide and Volpone. He is currently appearing in the West End in Deathtrap. A highly acclaimed British stage actor, he has been seen in New York in The Cherry Orchard, The Winter's Tale, Spamalot, Jumpers (Tony nomination), Uncle Vanya and Twlefth Night.

Hiddleston won an Olivier for his work in Cymbeline and has also been seen in Ivanov and Othello, among others. Television credits include "Wallender," "Return to Cranford" and "Suburban Shootout."
