News Singing Astaire to Return to NYC in the Fall Singing Astaire: A Fred Astaire Songbook will return to the jazz landmark Birdland beginning Sept. 17.

The all-singing, no-dancing tribute to the late Astaire will feature its original stars, Eric Comstock, Hilary Kole and Christopher Gines. Birdland's official website says the show will play Saturdays and Sundays at 3 and 5:30 PM. The revue originally played an extended engagement at Birdland, which ended Feb. 13. Co-created and staged by Michael Bourne, Singing Astaire features songs by Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, The Gershwins, Jerome Kern, Harold Arlen, Johnny Mercer and Arthur Schwartz.

Cabaretgoers can expect to hear such tunes as "Puttin' on the Ritz," "Night and Day," "A Fine Romance," "Top Hat," "White Tie and Tails," "Funny Face," "Dancing in the Dark," "The Way You Look Tonight" and "Cheek to Cheek."
