Curtain up, light the lights — the lights of the Menorah, that is. At Queens Theatre in the Park in New York, veteran actress Marilyn Sokol will host a “Chanukah Cabaret,” Dec. 23, featuring songs and humor related to the Jewish holiday.

Singers Darrin Baker (Footloose), Sandy Rosenberg (The Scarlet Pimpernel), Alexandra Haas and singer-songwriter Phillip Namanworth will take part in the event, which “celebrates the holiday and the sense of family,” according to QTIP spokesperon Sam Rossi. Barry Levitt serves as musical director, with the Children’s Choir of the Solomon Schecter School of Queens in Flushing warbling as well. Jerry Friedman, of r/j productions, directs.

Sokol’s credits include Conversations with My Father, Sam And Itkeh at Off-Broadway's defunct American Jewish Theatre, American Repertory Theatre's Shlemiel The First, and the solo show, Guilt Without Sex.

For tickets ($24) and information on “A Chanukah Cabaret,” conceived by Rich Aronstein, call (718) 760-0064. As of Dec. 19, only limited seats remained available for the show.

Upcoming cabaret performers at QTIP include Sam Harris in March, Lee Roy Reams (An Evening with Jerry Herman, Applause) in April, and Donna McKechnie (A Chorus Line) in May. — By David Lefkowitz
