Ctrl Alt Del - or Control Alt Delete is a code any PC user knows as the emergency way out of a crashing program. Playwright Anthony Clarvoe took the term for the title to his new techno-business comedy, receiving a staged reading at South Coast Repertory on March 26. Mark Rucker directs.
In Ctrl Alt Del, corporate America is the subject for satire as the modern businessman finds, in Clavoe's words, "Nowhere is private. Nothing is personal. And nobody's home." Among the characters is Tom Xerox, complete with trademark on his last name. Clarvoe is the author of four Drama-Logue winner Let's Play Two, Ambition Facing West, The Living and Pick Up Ax.
Ctrl Alt Del stars Nancy Bell, Marissa Chibas, Gregory Itzin and Matt Keeslar.
Tickets are $8. South Coast Repertory is located at 655 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa. For reservations, call (714) 708-5555. South Coast Repertory is on the web at http://www.scr.org.
