David Mamet's scathing look at Hollywood, Speed-The-Plow, is being revived at Two Roads Theatre in NoHo through Feb. 25. The three-character, 90-minute work is directed by Jeff Becko and stars Tom Vitorino, Graham Elwood and Laura Katz, all of whom trained together at Playhouse West, a local drama school.
Vitorino comes from a musical family. He has been seen Off-Broadway in Nuts and Twelve Angry Men, and has also appeared on TV's "Port Charles" and "Moesha."
Elwood is a stand-up comic as well as an actor; he can be seen regularly at the Hollywood Improv, Laugh Factory and Comedy Store. He is also the host of USA Networks' "Strip Poker."
Katz is the daughter of a film historian and has worked in films, TV and commercials. She has a recurring role on "New Adventures of Robin Hood."
Two Roads Theatre is a 50-seater located at 4348 Tujunga Ave. For tickets and information call (800) 549-0633 or visit www.thinairpost.com — By Willard Manus
