News Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark's Philip Wm. McKinley Directing Mozart L'Opera Rock in Tokyo Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark's Philip Wm. McKinley is currently directing a production of Mozart L'Opera Rock in Tokyo, Japan.

The production will open Feb. 11 at the Orb Theater in Tokyo. Special performances will be held in Osaka Feb. 22-24 at the Umeda Arts Theater.

Mozart L'Opera Rock made its debut in 2009 in Paris. The Tokyo premiere features a revised script and lyrics by Toru Yoshikawa with sets by Rumi Matsui and costumes by Jun Arimura. Tokyo stars Koji Yamamoto and Akinori Nakagawa will alternate in the roles of Mozart and Salieri. Constanze, Mozart's wife, will be played by Sayaka Akimoto.

Producers are Makoto Matsuda and Ken Sakamoto.

The production is the first Japanese-produced produced musical to be presented at the Orb.
