Ednita Nazario of The Capeman and students from Professional Performing Arts School will lead the crowd in caroling while Brent Spiner of 1776 and Marilu Henner of Chicago light the tree, starting at 5:30 PM that day, Broadway at 46th Street. The public is invited to 15-minute event.
The tree has been lit in years past by the likes of Carol Channing, Stockard Channing, Tony Randall, Bebe Neuwirth and Nathan Lane.
The fourth annual event is sponsored by the Times Square Business Improvement District and the Theatre Development Fund, the latter of which operates the TKTS discount ticket booth, also in Duffy Square.
