News Spoken Word Performance to Feature Daniel J. Watts, Derrick Baskin, Brandon Victor Dixon, Kenita Miller D. Watts' Spoken Word Preserves: The Jam, described as an "innovative, soul revealing 'play on words' jam session," will be presented Oct. 10 at the Helen Mills Spotlight Theatre in Manhattan.

The 8 PM performance will feature the talents of Daniel J. Watts (In The Heights, Memphis, The Little Mermaid, The Color Purple), Derrick Baskin (Memphis, Spelling Bee, The Little Mermaid), Brandon Victor Dixon (Tony Award nominee for The Color Purple; Lion King), Kenita Miller (The Color Purple, Xanadu), Luis Salgado (Women on the Verge, In The Heights), Candice Monet McCall (Memphis) and Dionne D. Figgins (Memphis, Hot Feet). "N+N Productions is thrilled to team up with WattsWords Productions to highlight the art of spoken word. It is an art form that tends to slip under the radar and makes the perfect marriage with dance and song – bringing the incredible Broadway community together for a night to celebrate art," said Nikole Vallins and Natalie Malotke, producers, in a statement.
