News Stars Expected at Pittsburgh CLO in Summer; Hoty Is Desiree, Cavenaugh Sings "Soliloquy," Cuccioli Climbs a Mountain Pittsburgh CLO has plucked stars Robert Newman, Dee Hoty, Alice Ripley, Paige Davis and Robert Cuccioli — among others — for its 2005 summer season, executive producer Van Kaplan announced.

"Guiding Light" star Newman will be Count Carl-Magnus in A Little Night Music opposite Dee Hoty's Desiree June 7-12. Hoty was recently seen on Broadway in Mamma Mia!

Barry Ivan will direct and choreograph the Stephen Sondheim-Hugh Wheeler musical rumination on the folly of love.

Paige Davis, known for TV's "Trading Spaces" and Broadway's Chicago (also on tour) will be squeaky-clean Maria in Rodgers & Hammerstein's The Sound of Music with Jekyll & Hyde veteran Robert Cuccioli as the Captain, June 14-26. James Brennan directs.

Mark Jacoby, who was Father in Ragtime and Gaylord Ravenal in Harold Prince's Show Boat, will swagger as The Pirate King June 28-July 10. Leland Ball will direct the Gilbert and Sullivan classic, and Dan Mojica will choreograph.

Alice Ripley (Broadway's The Rocky Horror Show, Side Show) will star in The Who's Tommy July 12-24. The pop musical will be directed by Tony Stevens and choreographed by Mark Esposito.

Matt Cavenaugh, late of Urban Cowboy and the national tour of Thoroughly Modern Millie, will play Billy Bigelow in Rodgers & Hammerstein's Carousel July 26-31. Pittsburgh native and Broadway veteran Lenora Nemetz will play Mrs. Mullin. Charley Repole will direct, with choreography by Mark Esposito.
