News Stephen Adly Guirgis Will Be Theatre Master for Buffalo Theatre Company
Upstate New York's Road Less Traveled Productions has Jesus Hopped the ‘A’ Train playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis as its 2011 American Theatre Master.

Located in Buffalo, NY, Road Less Traveled will produce Guirgis' The Last Days of Judas Iscariot in April 2011. As previously reported, Fences Tony Award nominee Stephen McKinley Henderson (Fences) will star in RLTP's production of the drama.

Guirgis will be in attendance for a performance of the play and also lecture local students and theatre professionals as part of the Emanuel Fried New Play Workshop.

For the past three seasons Road Less Traveled has named Edward Albee, Eric Bogosian and James Rebhorn as American Theatre Masters. Bogosian and Rebhorn serve on RLTP's advisory board alongside Alec Baldwin, Scott Ellis and Stephen McKinley Henderson.

Guirgis' plays include Little Flower Of East Orange, In Arabia We’d All Be Kings, Our Lady Of 121st Street, Den Of Thieves, Dominica The Fat Ugly Ho and The Motherfucker With The Hat, which will debut in 2011.
