David Adjmi's Stereophonic begins performances on Broadway April 2 with a special $40 preview performance welcoming the show's ardent fans into the theatre for the first time.

The production, which transfers from its Off-Broadway world premiere via Playwrights Horizons, is set to open April 19 at the Golden Theatre.

In honor of the production's first preview, the production has also announced its policies for in-person and digital rush, as well as its lottery policy.

Beginning April 3, a limited number of $35 general rush tickets will be available in-person at the Golden Theatre on the day of each performance, on a first come, first served basis. There is a maximum of two tickets per person.

Digital rush will be available starting at 11:00 AM on the day of each performance and will end 30 minutes before the performance. Tickets will be $30 each, are subject to availability, and are limited to two per person.

Lastly, the digital lottery will open at 12:00 AM two days before each performance, and will end at 3:00 PM the same day. Winners are drawn the day before the performance at 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, depending on if the selected performance is a matinee or an evening performance. Winners will be notified via email. Lottery tickets will be $40 each, and are limited to two per person.

Featuring original songs by former Arcade Fire member Will Butler, the work invites audiences to be a fly on the wall in a 1976 music studio as an up-and-coming rock band records a new album that could catapult them to superstar status. The sold-out Playwrights Horizons world premiere ran late last year and made several "Best of 2023" theatre lists.

As Adjmi told Playbill in a previous interview: “I definitely knew from the beginning that I wanted it to feel very granular. I wanted them to talk about very mundane things, because that is what a collaborative process is like. And even though people look really glamorous and really blown out on stage, I can channel this profound energy of when they're living their lives—doing laundry and frying an egg. I'm really interested in that duality. And I just didn't want to do a boilerplate depiction of rock stars.”
