It looks as if "Stuttering John," of "The Howard Stern Show" fame, will continue as the Thursday night DJ at The Donkey Show for the time being.

Production sources say that John Melendez, aka "Stuttering John," is immediately recognized by the Donkey Show audiences and has become something of a draw of his own. The longtime member of the Howard Stern family is known for bushwhacking celebrities in public with the most outrageous -- and often intuitive -- questions possible.

Melendez started at The Donkey Show on Feb. 11. The length of his limited engagement has not been determined.

"They gave him a few weeks to warm up before releasing anything on it, " a production source told Playbill On-Line. "Now, when he comes on, the people in the audience just yell off their heads."

Tickets are $35. The Donkey Show plays at El Flamingo, which is located 547 West 21st Street, between 10th and 11th Avenues. For tickets call TicketMaster at (212) 307-4100. For information visit www.thedonkeyshow.com. -- By Murdoch McBride
