News   Stratford Fest's Dan Chameroy, of Gigi, Releases Show-Tune CD
Dan Chameroy, the Canadian actor and singer appearing this season as Gaston in the Stratford Festival's Gigi, has recorded a CD of his favorite musical tunes, including the title song from Gigi.

Titled "Me," after a song from the musical Beauty and the Beast, Chameroy's debut CD features "Unusual Way" (from Nine), "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face" (My Fair Lady), "Journey to the Past" (from "Anastasia"), "Not a Day Goes By" (Merrily We Roll Along) and "Endless Night" (The Lion King). Chameroy also performs songs from Camelot and Gigi, two musicals from his Stratford Festival appearances. He and his wife, actor and singer Christine Donato, join voices for the duet "I Still Get Jealous" from High Button Shoes. "The songs on the CD have been part of my journey as a performer from the beginning of my career to today," Chameroy said in press notes. "I have been lucky enough to perform many of these classic songs on the stage, and have combined these with other songs that have inspired me."

Chameroy is accompanied on the disc pianist Richard Evans, who also did the musical arrangements. Saxophonist Vernon Dorge and guitarist Tony Zorzi are also heard. The CD is produced by Jonathan Schwartz.

The CD "Me," which retails for $19.95, is available at the Festival's Theatre Store locations at the Festival Theatre and the Avon Theatre in downtown Stratford. It is also available online by clicking the Stratford Festival's site,
