Patrick Cassidy, Richard Kind, Cheyenne Jackson, Shoshana Bean and Jean Louisa Kelly will all be part of the concert presentation of the Charles Strouse-Lee Adams musical.

Stuart Ross directs Superman! with musical direction by Georgia Stitt. The musical features a score by Strouse (music) and Adams (lyrics) and a book by David Newman and Robert Benton. The original Broadway production played 19 previews and 129 regular performances at the Alvin Theatre in 1966. Featured in the original cast were Jack Cassidy (Patrick's dad), Don Chastain, Bob Holiday, Linda Lavin, Patricia Marand, Michael O'Sullivan and Michelle Barry.

The musical, according to press notes, is described thusly: "A reporter is out to uncover his identity, while another girl is trying to steal him away from Lois, and meanwhile, an evil mad scientist is trying to take over the world. What is Superman to do? With a little help from the Citizens of Metropolis, save the world, of course!"

Patrick Cassidy's Broadway credits include 42nd Street, Aida, Annie Get Your Gun, Leader of the Pack and The Pirates of Penzance. He recently played Joseph in a tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Richard Kind has been seen on Broadway in The Producers, Sly Fox and The Tale of the Allergist's Wife. His other theatrical credits include Bounce, Rough Crossing, Once in a Lifetime, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, The Big Knife, Accomplice, Power Failure, The Seagull, Perfect and Gravity Shoes. Among his film and television credits are "Spin City," "Mad About You," "Scrubs," "Still Standing," "Just Shoot Me," "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind," "Quicksand," "Stargate," "Clifford" and "Mr. Saturday Night." Cheyenne Jackson, who was seen in the film "United 93," has appeared on Broadway in All Shook Up, Aida and Thoroughly Modern Millie. He starred in the premiere cast of Altar Boyz, and his regional credits include West Side Story, The Most Happy Fella, Children of Eden, Hair, Carousel, Damn Yankees and Kismet. Jackson is a member of the Broadway Inspirational Voice and was recently seen Off-Broadway in The Agony and the Agony.

Shoshana Bean, who starred as Elphaba in Broadway's Wicked, played Shelley in the original cast of the Tony-winning musical Hairspray. Originally from Portland, Oregon, Bean attended the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music before heading to NYC. She was first cast in the Off-Broadway production of Godspell and then in the national tour of Leader of the Pack. Bean was also seen in the all-star Hair benefit concert. The singer-actress is currently working on her debut solo album for Pure Records.
