News Target Margin Will Stage Uncle Vanya and Explore Soviet Jewish Theatre in 2011-12 Off-Off-Broadway's Target Margin Theater will stage Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya and a new company-created work called Listen!, exploring the history of Yiddish and avant-garde theatre, as part of its 2011-2012 season.

The season will begin with an Oct. 17 gala honoring Target Margin's 20th anniversary. Academy Award nominee Paul Giamatti will host the benefit that will include performances by Richard Foreman, David Greenspan, Taylor Mac, Tigger!, Julia Greenberg, Robin Goldwasser and Doll Parts.

The Target Margin Laboratory, lead by John Del Gaudio and Kate Marvin, will return in March/April 2012 at the Bushwick Starr, uniting over 100 artists for a theatrical "adventure in roots, reinvention, and rebirth."

TMT artistic director David Herskovitz will stage Uncle Vanya at downtown's HERE in April/May 2012. The production promises a fresh look at the classic drama that will "combine fearless experimentation with fundamental craft," according to Herskovitz.

The final production will be Listen!, "a journey into the Soviet Jewish theatre," exploring the history of Yiddish theatre and the avant-garde.
