News The Dinner Party—with Karen Ziemba—Begins Perfs. July 25 Tony Award winner Karen Ziemba begins performances in Neil Simon's The Dinner Party July 25 with Vermont's Oldcastle Theatre Company.

Ziemba, who recently starred as Lucy Brown in the Williamstown Theatre Festival's production of The Threepenny Opera, portrays Mariette in Simon's comedy of marriage and divorce through Aug. 9 at the Vermont theatre. Ziemba co-stars opposite fellow actor (and husband) Bill Tatum; the remainder of the cast includes Tim Foley, Paul Falzone, Cyndi Logan and Daryl Kenny. Karen Ziemba won a Tony Award portraying the Wife in Susan Stroman's Contact. She has also starred on Broadway in Chicago, Steel Pier, Crazy for You and 42nd Street, and her Off-Broadway work includes a Drama Desk Award-winning performance in And the World Goes 'Round as well as roles in I Do! I Do!, 110 in the Shade and The Most Happy Fella. She also headlined the City Center Encores! presentation of Pajama Game.

Set in a Parisian restaurant, The Dinner Party played Broadway's Music Box Theatre Oct. 3, 2000-Sept. 1, 2001. Directed by John Rando, the company included Len Cariou, Veanne Cox, Penny Fuller, Jan Maxwell, John Ritter and Henry Winkler.
