Forty-nine passengers will be able to travel on board The Ride throughout midtown Manhattan, and will be entertained both on the vehicle and on the city streets by actors and performers skilled in improvisational comedy, who will provide humorous commentary on New York's sites, history and people.
The vehicle will also include 40 video screens, more than 3,000 LED lights and a "'floor-shaker' sound system technology emulating everything from a passing subway to a thumping nightclub," according to notes.
The ride was created by Michael Counts, and its primary writer/director is John Bobey.
Tickets for The Ride will go on sale at the Aug. 12 unveiling.
