News THE SCREENING ROOM: Annie Orphans React to Casting News in Clips from "It's the Hard-Knock Life, From Script to Stage" "Annie: It's the Hard-Knock Life, From Script to Stage" debuts in the New York metropolitan area on WNET/13 June 28 at 9 PM ET. Here is never-before-seen footage from the program that shows the young stars of the Tony-nominated revival receiving news that they were cast.

The one-hour program is described as such: "It’s been 35 years since the little orphan Annie first stepped onto a Broadway stage. The show-stopping musical Annie, its characters and its songs are timeless and classic, and for the musical’s return to Broadway, this documentary offers a memorable behind-the-scenes look at every step of the production number 'It’s the Hard-Knock Life,' from the earliest phases of discussion among the creative team, rehearsals with actors, to opening night."

Encore broadcasts on WNET are scheduled for June 30 at 7 PM and July 2 at 3:30 AM.

The revival of the family favorite, which currently features Jane Lynch as Miss Hannigan, continues at Broadway's Palace Theatre.
