In the first two episodes of Goodspeed's "Behind the Screams" series, Murphy, an understudy in the company, explores the Larry McMillian Rehearsal Studios.
The work will officially open Oct. 24 at the Tony Award-winning Goodspeed Opera House.
The cast also includes Liz Pearce (Billy Elliot) as Lettie, Khris Lewin (Goodspeed's My One And Only) as Flint, Ron Wisniski (Goodspeed's Me and My Girl) as Clive, Julia Osborne (Goodspeed's Half a Sixpence) as Hope Langdon, Peter Van Wagner ("Boardwalk Empire") as Dr. Grayburn, Benjamin Eakeley (On a Clear Day You Can See Forever) as Nigel Rancour, Drama Desk nominee Lynne Wintersteller (A Grand Night for Singing) as Lady Manley-Prowe, Ed Dixon (Anything Goes) as Colonel Gillweather, Audrie Neenan (Sister Act) as Miss Tweed and Hunter Ryan Herdlicka (A Little Night Music) as Geoffrey. Understudies are Madeleine Doherty, Alyssa Gagarin and Murphy.
Here's how Goodspeed describes the work: "An old English mansion. A raging thunderstorm. Ten strangers. Murder, mystery, music and comedy abound when the guests disappear one by one – knocked off by cleverly fiendish devices. Join the fun as Miss Tweed the amateur sleuth sets out to solve the crimes…but the butler didn't do it!"
