News THE SCREENING ROOM: Far From Heaven the Musical Sings at Williamstown (Video) Far From Heaven, the new musical by the Tony Award-nominated Grey Gardens songwriting team of Scott Frankel and Michael Korie, is receiving its premiere at the Williamstown Theatre Festival through July 29.

Based on the 2002 Todd Haynes film about a 1950s Connecticut housewife whose world changes before her eyes, Far From Heaven boasts a cast including four-time Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara (The Light in the Piazza, South Pacific, Nice Work...), Steven Pasquale (Reasons to Be Pretty, "Rescue Me"), Brandon Victor Dixon (The Color Purple) and Tony Yazbeck (Gypsy).

Tony nominee Michael Greif (Grey Gardens, Rent, Next to Normal) directs the production that has a book by Tony Award winner Richard Greenberg (Take Me Out). Read Playbill.com's coverage here.

Williamstown has released a video of the sitzprobe with the cast and orchestra. It gives theatre fans a first listen to the lush, jazz-inflected score.
